Photography guidance shaped by 20 years of assignments.

One-on-one coaching, portfolio reviews, workshops, and insights from a working photographer.

I’m Justin Mott, a working photographer with nearly two decades of experience in editorial and commercial photography, including more than 100 assignments for The New York Times.

ASKMOTT exists to help photographers improve with clarity and direction. Through one-on-one online coaching, portfolio reviews, long-term mentorships, and small group workshops, I work with photographers who want to develop stronger habits, better judgment, and a more intentional approach to making photographs.

This isn’t about trends, presets, or quick fixes. It’s about learning how to see, edit, and think more clearly — whether you’re an enthusiastic amateur or a working professional.
